TIMBER FRAMING
 
Timber framing is our latest interest.  In 2002 I spent a week in Franklin, North Carolina, learning basic timber framing.  I spent the week laying out and cutting joints for a customer's timber frame home.  Since that time I have incorporated timbers into some of my remodeling projects.  This past year I have been involved in some additional timber frame jobs.  I hope to get the opportunity to use more timber framing in future home additions.  I have found timber suppliers, made mobile crane arrangements, and purchased the necessary timber cutting equipment.  I have worked with some existing timber framers on truss design and we are "ready to go".  Below are some pictures of timber frame projects we have been involved with.
